as of lately.

this is really just an iphone dump.
but it is a pretty good summary of all the events we have been involved in.
and things have been very eventful.
hannie got tubes in her ears.
elias had his last day of preschool.
we have had lots of good company.
hannie got sick.
ada had field day.
ada got sick.
elias got sick.
and hannie remained sick.
(and amidst these events we had a very traumatic event in our neighborhood.  it makes for a very different story, but i am not ready to share.)

i have declared today a sick day.  three kids with fevers,  all want to sit on my lap and have special cuddles.  we trekked to the grocery store, bought medicine and orange juice, made popcorn and put on pippi longstocking.  let's hope this fixes everyone.
oh, and we sheared elias' hair.
poor kid has the most struggling hair on the planet, and the chlorine has not been kind to him.
but he does look so cute and manly now.
when we were done shaving his hair, he said "now let me hold the razor, i need to shave my face."

he is three.
xx.

yes, that is my son with the cute bottom in the leotard.

summer is almost here!

and we have been practicing!
elias' last week of school is next week, and ada finishes up in about three.
we are all so excited.
and i might be a wee bit terrified.
months, alone, with all three of my offspring.

patience.
and LOTS of time outside!
especially if they look like this.

a wedding on kiawah.

we just got back from my sister, melissa's big day!
we had a blast!
my parents rented a spectacular home across the street from the beach on kiawah island.
it was incredible.
all of it!
the house, the wedding, the parties, my family.
my eyes were tearing up when we had to leave (probably because everyone else was staying!)
melissa was such a gorgeous bride.
stunning.
i was a bridesmaid, ada, a flower girl, and elias, the ring bearer.
it was a family event.

and kiawah, i love you.
and your hermit crabs, starfish,
washed up horseshoe crabs, and variety of jellyfish.
my kids were sooo entertained by wildlife, i barely had to build a castle.

 hard at work

my perfect nephew.

crab legs!

little hermit crabs.

my grandmother, honey, even got in on the fun!

"surfing"

baby crabs

starfish

a private pool in your backyard cannot be overrated, especially if you don't have to clean it!

 wild!

hanna loved it!

this is her annoyed face.  i see it often.

elias started to lose it.  then he found my camera and was very entertained.

he focused mainly on boobs.

and all the way home, he looked like this!
