our weekend, in pictures

we had a great, christmassy weekend!

i can't help but get into the spirit with all these kids swarming around me!

here is what it looked like:

 oh elias, christmas anxiety has kicked in and he is pretty darn wild.

 we made snowballs out of cornstarch and shaving cream.  then they had a snowball fight.

what was i thinking?

elias' birthday party- belated

somehow i missed this!

boy, we knew we couldn't handle a bunch of rowdy

five year olds this year.

but elias came up with a clever party of his own!

outside play, pizza, a movie and then some playtime in the dark.

each kid got some glow-in-the-dark silly string and a flashlight.

the party could not have gone more smoothly.

it was loud,

and a little rowdy

but they had a great time!

(and i don't have to do it again for another year!)

 even two girls were invited!

just as i thought,

november came and went.

our month was full

a birthday

a wedding

a retirement celebration

thanksgiving

just to name a few.

and now a quick recap in pictures:

this big guy retired.  i think you wait your whole working life for that to happen.

congratulations dad!

this little guy turned four months.

i tote him around all day. every day.

sometimes i look and he has grown.

he hates to be put down.

hates the car, bouncy seat, swing, crib.

but he loves me

so i carry him all-day-long.

this kid is fancy and spicy.

ada had a great final performance with her broadway bound class.

she had a solo in day-o.

yep, the song from beetlejuice.

i loved every minute of it.

we tried to take christmas pictures.

we fit lots of kids into a bath tub.

these two littles fell asleep five minutes before school pick up.

what bad luck.

we decorated cookies with the cousins.

and dresses as princesses.
