it finally happened!

this little gem of mine,
LOST A TOOTH!
she was so brave and pulled that little sucker out
all by herself!

the tooth fairy was so excited to finally get to visit our home.
the $3 she left were not needed.
ada did not care for the money at all
but the note that sweet fairy left
meant the world to her.

i have a feeling she is going to be back again in the near future!
thank you, pearl!

his fourth birthday party.

it was elias' first "real" party.
i think four is the perfect age for it.
he was so excited!
aside from a few elias-style meltdowns,
it was a huge success.
they ate dangling donuts with no hands,
threw water balloons, and
built towers and then knocked them down using
their very own marshmallow shooters.
elias loved being the center of attention.
he loved them singing "happy birthday" to him.
he loved how excited everyone was to watch him open presents.
but,
the biggest hit,
was our garage floor which we lined with
bubble wrap
and balloons,
and then let them loose after a sugar overload.
oh,
and the silly string was a hit too!
overall,
the party was a wonderful way to celebrate my four-year-old boy.
happy birthday, kiddo!

F.O.U.R.

this kid.

he is going to melt some hearts.
one day.
for now,
he is an adventure.
as in,
i don't know who is going to walk out of the bedroom
at five in the morning.
bright eyed and bushy tailed.
it may be batman
or super why
or
luke skywalker
or
dr. awesome underpant man.
but
chances are it is not elias.

he is clever
and tricky
and ever-so creative.
he is so strong and able,
he will move mountains.

he adds so much life to our entire family,
there is never a dull moment when he is around.
and i wouldn't want it any other way.

happy fourth birthday my elias!
i don't know how i ever got so lucky!
you, my boy, are perfection.
xoxo,
mommy
