i am not winning mommy of the year right now. just in case you were wondering. i am worn out. more miss hannigan than supernanny. i actually need a supernanny, but i won't hold my breath. i need an alone day. i don't want my children watching me shower and i want to eat the entire cookie. by. my. self.
ok- i said it. please don't think i am a bad person. i mean, everyone has their moments, right?
this is what we have been up to.
- ada was home sick today after being up in the middle of the night for two hours with a fever of 102 degrees. she was tired and cranky. yuck.
- hanna has a cold and some sort of stomach bug leading to diarrhea leading to diaper rash. poor kid.
- last night we had a babysitter to go on a date. we envisioned it being just the two of us, hanna is finally getting old enough that i feel comfortable leaving her! then, as we were telling the kids, ada asks if she could go. she loves restaurants, and hanna usually gets to go so she wants it to be her turn. we couldn't say no. hanna cried the entire time for the poor sitter and ada sang to us the entire date, songs that only she could make up (not real songs that have rhythm and harmony.) so much for a romantic evening.
- elias is finally doing better in his big boy bed. after my genius post about how wonderful he has been, he got out of bed every night for a week and was imprisoned in his crib until he decided to stay in bed. i still find him wandering the house at 3am, but it is getting better.
- ada is loving school, but told me saturday (after being in time out throwing a tantrum for an hour!) that she was using up all of her good behavior at school and just HAS to be grumpy at home now. great.
- elias is becoming very talented at spraying his pee very far distances. double great.
- the same kid also is entertaining us all day and night with bizarre made up stories about things going on in his life. i really think he thinks his dreams are "real-life", i don't really remember going on an airplane with him to outer space last night to fight the "green guy" with our spraying fire. just saying.
- little miss hanna is still not crawling. now that she has mastered standing, i see her determination to walk. soon. as soon as i sit her anywhere she finds something to pull herself up on. especially in the bathtub. i don't think she has sat down for more than two minutes straight in the past week.
- and if you really want to know what is bugging me! my son will not keep his fingers out of his bottom, i have cleaned the kitchen floor about 6 times today, ada cannot stop whining, and if i move more than 7 inches away from miss hanna she has a total meltdown. i may rot into the floor or get pink eye this week. what is your guess?
