ada's demonstrating her tree climbing skills (or lack thereof!)

elias and sadie kissing. natacha came to visit... so fun!

on our trip to wheeling to stopped to visit reza's aunt, uncle and grandmother. he elias is driving the tractor.

a quick update.

i put away my skinny pants today. i shoved them in a box in my closet and put it on the highest shelf. i am no longer skinny. at 16.5 weeks pregnant i look as if i have swallowed a cantalope and it has landed directly behind my belly button. pretty ridiculous i must say, but i am assure our little baby #3 is growing, and will probably weigh in at about 10 pounds by it's birthday. have i mentioned that my belly button sticks straight out too. fun. and attractive.

have i also mentioned how busy we are? i think it is the first thing that i say on each blog. but alas, we are even busier! such a wonderful busy though, with my partner beside me every day. millions of kisses, millions of seconds together, and millions of things to be done! we are still unpacking and getting settled into our new home. we love it, we really do. the kitchen, family room, and most bedrooms and bathrooms are all done, while the living room and dining room are pitiful excuses for rooms and may scare away the neighbors. one day we will have the money to furnish these rooms! i can't wait!

aside from moving across country, unpacking, decorating, hosting a fabulous birthday party for our wonderful little girl, having several out of town guests, entertaining various illnesses, and taking a super long road trip to wheeling west virginia to visit reza's family, we haven't been up to much in the past 2.5 weeks! i promise the next post will be filled with pictures and potentially a house tour! but first, i have to get my act together...

happy birthday to my beautiful little girl.

ada, 3 days.

first birthday.

second birthday.

third birthday.

ada is four today. FOUR! four is big. four is independent. but mostly four is an accomplishment. ada is amazing. witty, brainy, dramatic, creative, and drop dead gorgeous to boot. i love her more the world.

in the midst of chaos we had a extraordinary day together. all of us, as a family. it consisted of breakfast at weaver street market (ada had a cupcake!), a huge moving truck delivering all of our household possessions, lots of pool time, a fine sushi dinner, and a cupcake dessert. sounds good, huh?

in the past week, we have packed up our louisiana house, driven 15 hours straight, through the night with two children, a dog, a pregnant woman, and a newly adorned colon and rectal surgeon, all in a subaru outback. talk about accomplishment! i would NEVER do it again. NEVER! but we made it, and we are now settling in to our humble abode in chapel hill. loving every minute... well, almost (aside from the massive amount of unpacking and cleaning with two kids underfoot!) life has taken us on many adventures and this ranks up there with one of the most exciting.

i will post so many new photos later. you know, when i find the camera, and camera cord, the wireless router, you get my drift. one day. until then, enjoy the picture of the sweet crunchie ada. my favorite girl in the world.
